Which ball is the right one?
Basically you should "work" back from the green ...
The majority of shots take place in, around and on the green. Thus, the control of the ball should be in your focus.
"Distance" balls usually have a very hard cover, which hardly generates any spin and thus prevents a controlled shot into the green and a quick "bite" of the ball.
How often do you get annoyed about a good shot into the green, which then doesn't sit because it lacks the necessary spin?
We prevent this with the soft urethane shell of our IKARUS balls.
IKARUS Golf only offers balls with a soft urethane cover. We believe that "distance" balls have had their day, as apart from the (sometimes) cheaper price they only offer disadvantages such as lack of spin.
